How we work
Find out more on how we work
Our Web sites make a difference.
Zilabee employs a unique web design methodology which involves the customer and web designers working together to deliver enterprise web solutions that meet specific customer requirements. Our strategy is based on solutions which will not only be designed for our client’s web marketing needs but shall also be an asset to the returns on investment in the future.
The initial phase of the project arises from the customer and Zilabee sales contact. The customer has identified a need for either a new web solution or maintenance of their existing web site. The stage involves the following artefacts:
- Business analysis.
- Customer agreement.
- Terms and Conditions.
- Identify high level requirements.
- Produce cost analysis for project.
When the customer has signed the agreement, the next phase will include Requirements Analysis.
Requirements Analysis
This is the most important phase of the project. Recent research shows that incorrect requirements produce results that do not meet the client’s needs and result in project delays, financial loss and other issues. Requirements analysis shall involve regular customer feedback and reviews to produce business rules and functional requirements which explain the client needs for the web design solution. A requirement specification will be reviewed with the client before commencing the design phase.
High Level Web Design
This phase shall use the Requirement specification to produce a High level design of the web site. The artefacts produced in this phase shall include:
- Web site template design.
- Adobe® Photoshop elements.
- Prototyping.
- Navigation menus.
- Links to pages.
- Evaluation of database technology.
- Evaluation of shopping cart integration for e-commerce solutions.
The High level design shall be reviewed with the client and any feedback shall be incorporated into the new design.
Low Level Web Design
This phase can be highly complex as it shall involve the development activities including graphic design, Coding and flash animation design. This phase will be delivered incrementally and reviewed with the customer at various stages. Low level design shall contain features which include:
- HTML, PHP, ASP.NET Coding.
- Flash animation designs.
- Logo design.
- Custom graphics design.
- Scripting solutions.
- Database driven architecture and implementation.
- Ecommerce shopping cart integration.
- Meta tag generation for search engine submission.
W3C Validation
This phase is relates to adding ‘Quality’ to the web design solution. The W3C - World Wide Web Consortium follows the standard which web sites shall be delivered against. The purpose of this phase is to ensure the client receives a solution which meets these standards. Zilabee uses W3C Validation procedures to verify our solutions meet the requirements set by W3C.
Website Testing
Testing is just as important to us as to those who use the web site. Broken links, typos, coding errors are only a few examples of what can cause a web site to produce unpredictable results not only for the end user but also on search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. All our web sites are fully tested under various conditions so that we only aim to deliver ‘defect free’ solutions.
Configure Hosting
This phase shall include configuration of the Hosting platform which shall be used to host the web site. In most cases, Zilabee offers unlimited web space and bandwidth on our Red Hat Apache UK based hosting solutions.
Release Management
Release Management is the phase where we choose a designated date to ‘go live’. This phase includes the following:
- Transfer existing domain name.
- Or registration of new domain name.
- Email setup and email forwarding if required.
- Sign off by client.
- Solution handover to client.
Maintenance & Support
Our Maintenance and Support phase includes:
- Google analytics reports.
- Free search engine submissions.
- 24/7 Customer Support.
- Additional services for Search Engine Optimisation.
